Lyme Regis B6 spiral notebook | Laura Ashley x Ohh Deer

The Lyme Regis B6 spiral notebook by Laura Ashley and Ohh Deer has a pink and red striped cover. Its binding allows it to lie flat, a feature specified for this model. It suits notes taken at a table, lists consulted while working and preparations you want to keep in view.

A B6 spiral notebook with bold stripes

Lyme Regis stands apart in this selection by having no large floral design on the cover. Vertical bands alternate in shades of pink and red, with a matching spiral at the side. The pattern is simple and graphic, unlike Laura Ashley's more detailed botanical prints. Ohh Deer uses it here on a compact B6 notebook.

The lay-flat opening is a practical feature of this reference. It may be useful when switching regularly between the notebook and another activity, such as consulting a document or preparing workshop materials. This does not make it a specialist technical notebook. It remains a general notebook whose subject and organisation are up to you.

Keep a list visible while preparing

For a workshop or working session, start by writing down the points to cover. Keep the notebook open nearby, then add new information as you go. At the end, separate completed tasks from those needing a follow-up. This method avoids relying on memory and gives an immediate use to notes taken during the session.

It can also help prepare an oral presentation. Write your ideas in the order you want, then reduce each one to a few words you can find quickly. Rehearsing will help simplify anything still too long. No preprinted speech template is specified; you create your own support for a meeting, talk or personal contribution.

For people who prefer stripes to bouquets

This notebook offers a graphic option within a range full of flowers. It can suit someone who likes colour but prefers a regular, clear pattern. When giving it as a gift, consider their note-taking habits: the spiral and lay-flat opening will be especially useful for someone who works with a notebook on the table. The B6 format keeps the focus on useful information.
