Stay Humble - A6 card

Ohh Deer’s illustrated A6 Stay Humble card offers a reminder of modesty in Steven Rhodes’ dark retro world. Choose it for someone who enjoys jokes about ego and recognises affection behind an offbeat remark. Humour is part of choosing this gift.

An illustrated A6 card about modesty

Stay Humble is the original English title, meaning remaining humble. The French explanation does not promise a French inscription. The supplier suggests an amused reality check for a friend’s ego. Steven Rhodes’ retro style and dark humour call for considering the recipient’s sensitivity.

It works best when teasing already belongs to your relationship: a game won, an enthusiastically reported success or friendly competition. Add a note that makes your intention clear. Sincerely acknowledge the achievement, then add your familiar teasing rather than letting the image carry the whole message.

Choose the irony with care

For a close friend’s birthday, pair it with an equally offbeat gift, or congratulate someone who laughs at their own exploits. This tone may not suit formal thanks or a person you barely know. Knowing their humour matters more than simply surprising them.

A6 keeps the gesture focused on the design. A few lines can recall the event, say what you liked and express your friendship. Add a date for later memories. The picture then recalls a particular moment rather than making a general judgement about someone’s character, making the teasing warmer.

Details to remember

For an established friendship where you can celebrate and tease someone in the same message, with enough affection for a shared smile.
