DescriptionDescription
Mito Komon takes the form of a papier-mâché roly-poly doll in this Okiagari figurine. When tilted, the character returns upright.
The character and symbol
Mito Komon comes from a Japanese series inspired by Tokugawa Mitsukuni, whose stories evoke wisdom and justice. The Okiagari movement is traditionally associated with perseverance: falling and getting up again. This meaning remains symbolic and implies no special powers.
