Nippon Kodo offers twelve fragrances for Herb & Earth incense sticks. Each has its own variant: the scent names do not describe a blend present in every stick.
Choosing a fragrance profile
Sandalwood and cedar are woody; patchouli is deep and earthy. Jasmine and rose offer floral notes. Vanilla, white sage, bergamot, lavender, frankincense, lemongrass and matcha complete the range.
Matcha evokes mild, green tea notes, bergamot a citrus freshness, and lemongrass a fresh, sweet-and-sour profile. These sticks have a thin bamboo core; the Gondole holder is designed for this format.
Careful use
Place the incense in a suitable, stable holder away from flammable materials. Supervise it throughout burning without breathing the smoke directly. Ventilate the room after use.
