Description
Description

At Cap Ferret, Sylvia Gabet follows local produce to tell the story of a place and its cooking. L'été gourmand au Cap Ferret brings together 44 products and 100 recipes, with practical pages alternating with stories and photographs of the peninsula.

From produce to plate

The journey begins in the 44 Hectares neighbourhood. Fish, produce from the land and sweet treats form a culinary route, glimpsed in the excerpts: sea bass with grapes, oyster omelette, baked turbot or figs roasted with honey. Dunes blanches are also among the recipes announced by the publisher.

Before cooking, you can pause on the pages about ingredients and their history. The contents approach them through water, animal and plant life on land, and air. An address book completes the content.

A cookbook to browse for its images too

Huts, landscapes around the Bassin and preparation scenes set the recipes in context. The gallery shows the alternation between exploring places, presenting products and preparing dishes, as well as the book's blue cover.

The subtitle of this edition is "44 nectars en 100 recettes". The addresses are those published in the book; practical information may change.
