Autumn Equinox 1 000-piece puzzle

Gibsons' Autumn Equinox brings together 1 000 pieces in an autumn forest imagined by The Art File. A castle appears in the background, with animals, mushrooms and plants in front. An included printed guide helps you explore this recycled-cardboard illustration.

An autumn puzzle with woodland details

Browns, greens and orange accents create a scene unlike a summer landscape. Leaves frame the picture, while small animals appear between stems and fruit. The castle draws the eye beyond the first layer of vegetation.

The box image also shows birds, pumpkins and mushrooms. These details give the puzzle a seasonal identity without tying it to a single celebration. Enjoy the colours, the storytelling or the chance to find another motif each time you sit down.

Build it as a series of small scenes

Start with recognisable elements: part of a roof, a pale silhouette, an orange fruit or the outline of a mushroom. These groups create several starting points. Build the foliage around them by comparing veins, stems and changing colours.

The printed guide helps locate repeated leaf patterns. It gives an overview while pieces cover the table. You can complete one small group each session without setting a time limit or following a fixed sequence.

Autumn Equinox details

Allow a clear assembly area and several sorting spaces. Keeping small groups apart can be easier than joining them too soon. Even lighting helps distinguish the dark woodland shades and brown branches, especially in the evening.

For those who enjoy illustrated stories

Autumn Equinox is a gift idea for people who like imaginary walks, drawn forests and fairytale settings. The castle leads the eye, but the edges contain just as much to discover. The puzzle rewards observation as well as finding the right fit.

Handle the pieces with dry hands and keep drinks away to protect the cardboard. Separate sections gently when packing away and return the guide to the box, ready for another session.
