Product details
Mon livre d'or is a miniature French A7 notebook by Ohh Deer with a fabric hard cover. It can collect messages and memories between colleagues. The format calls for a few personal lines rather than a speech or an isolated signature on a shared card.
A guest book on a small scale
The title gives an intention, but everyone chooses their contribution. A work anecdote, a specific thank-you or a shared memory can make a short entry. One person can start with a precise memory and let the others choose their own subject.
Consider the A7 size before passing it around a team. Keep messages brief and legible. Invite contributors to sign and date them if they wish. These additions help the recipient remember the voices and circumstances behind the words.
Prepare a collection of messages
For a departure or role change, one person can coordinate the notebook and set a return date. Keep instructions simple: a few sincere lines, nothing you would not want preserved. Suggest a theme, such as something learned together, without expecting the same answer from everyone.
Participation is best left optional. A personal message need not be funny to belong. A simple phrase suits a new colleague; someone known longer may recall a shared moment. Avoid confidential information or jokes that lose their meaning outside the office.
The pages can hold a sequence of contributions, not a guaranteed number of participants: each person's writing and message use different amounts of space. Leave room for later additions rather than trying to fill the notebook before giving it.
Accompany the notebook
A separate card can name the occasion and team. The notebook keeps individual contributions while the card carries a collective message. This also works when some colleagues cannot attend the presentation.
The Jean-Michel Basquiat A6 card offers an artistic subject if it suits the recipient. Explore other gift ideas. The notebook is above all about leaving personal words and allowing time to collect them.
