Duralex Picardie water glasses
Choosing a water glass involves space as well as colour. Begin with how you normally use it, then compare capacity and pack size. You can add to an existing service without assuming that every Picardie reference has the same dimensions or takes up the same room.

Choosing a water glass involves space as well as colour. Begin with how you normally use it, then compare capacity and pack size. You can add to an existing service without assuming that every Picardie reference has the same dimensions or takes up the same room.
Compare capacity instead of apparent size
Two glasses photographed separately can look similar while holding different quantities. Read the capacity of each reference before comparing colours. A format for a small drink is not the same choice as a glass you prefer to fill more generously. Your own way of serving is a better guide than assigning one size to a particular kind of person or a fixed occasion.
The green 31 cl Picardie glasses provide a capacity example documented by Duralex. Centilitres describe each glass; the La Carafe product page states what your purchase includes. When adding to pieces you already own, check that information and the dimensions. Capacity on its own does not tell you how tall a glass will be or how it will fit alongside your existing ones.
Decide how colour joins the table
Picture the glass beside your plates and water vessel. A tone might pick up a detail in a cloth, while a clear finish gives the drink more visual presence. You can also mix colours you enjoy. There is no need for a perfectly uniform service if you like the different pieces you have gathered over time. Consider the table you actually use rather than a complete arrangement from one photograph.
Look at several views and read the product details. A pale photographic background will not reproduce the light in your kitchen. For a present, knowing the recipient's tableware colours helps, but the cupboard space and size used every day may make more difference. Those practical details can distinguish two options that seem equally appealing at first glance.
Plan the addition to your cupboard
Measure the free shelf height and think about taking the glasses out. If you want to store several together, look for specific information about the model rather than assuming from a picture that it can be stacked. A set chosen for a dinner should also fit your normal storage, instead of needing a place kept aside for an occasional gathering.
Care information belongs to the particular reference as well. A brand and shape do not give one universal instruction about appliances or temperatures. Keep the manufacturer's information with your choice. This guide helps you compare formats; it does not turn a range of drinking glasses into equipment suited to every task in the kitchen.
To plan the drinks service, compare water jugs or look at the colours among vintage jugs. Neither the jug nor glass volume alone sets the number of people you can serve. How you fill and refill them is the more concrete starting point.
